Frequently asked questions
Find answers about Viora's elderly companionship services, family updates, safety and availability.
What is Viora?
Viora helps families arrange human companionship and practical, non-medical assistance for older adults. Depending on the service, a Companion may accompany an elder to an appointment, help with an errand, go for a walk or spend time together.
Does Viora provide medical or nursing care?
No. Viora is a companionship and assistance service, not a medical, nursing or emergency service. Companions do not diagnose conditions or provide unauthorised medical treatment.
Can I arrange support for a parent who lives alone in India?
Families can create an account, add a family member and request a service for them. Availability depends on the elder's area and the service; use the pincode checker or booking flow to check.
Can I book if I live in another city or outside India?
Yes. Family members can use their account to arrange a booking remotely, subject to service availability in the elder's area.
How does Viora screen Companions?
The process includes identity verification, a human interview, training and approval before a Companion can be matched. Background and reference checks are completed where appropriate; see the safety page for the details and limits.
How will I know that a visit has happened?
The booking flow supports visit check-in and check-out, and a short visit report is shared with the family afterwards.
How much do services cost?
Service prices are shown in rupees and can vary by service duration and travel fee. Review the full price shown in the booking flow before confirming.
Where does Viora operate?
Coverage is managed by service area and can vary by service. Check the elder's pincode on the website to see current availability; Viora does not claim that every service is available throughout India.
How do I ask about or cancel a booking?
Sign in and open your booking to see the actions currently available for it. For help with a booking, email care@vioris.in. Any applicable cancellation or payment terms should be confirmed with Viora for your booking.
What should I do in an emergency?
Call local emergency services immediately. In India, call 112. Viora is not an emergency response provider.
