Privacy policy

This policy explains the personal information Viora uses to arrange companionship and assistance for older adults and their families.

Information you provide

Depending on how you use Viora, this may include your name, email address, phone number and account details; information about an older family member such as their name, age, city, address, language, mobility needs and notes; emergency contact details; booking location, schedule and service requirements; and information submitted in a support or safety report.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, assess service availability, arrange and manage bookings, coordinate visits, share visit updates and reports with the relevant family, respond to support requests, protect the safety of users and Companions, and maintain service and administrative records.

Information sharing

To arrange a booking, relevant information may be shared with the Companion assigned to that booking and with Viora staff who manage the service. We may also use service providers for hosting, database, email, SMS or other operations, depending on the integrations enabled. We do not describe these service uses as a sale of personal information.

Account and security information

Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords. Verification and password-reset flows use time-limited tokens or challenges. Please keep your sign-in details private and avoid putting passwords, OTPs, bank details or other unnecessary sensitive information in booking notes.

Retention and your choices

We keep information for as long as needed to provide and administer the service, handle safety or support matters, and meet applicable legal requirements. Some booking, incident or audit records may need to be retained even if an account is closed. To ask about access, correction or deletion of your account information, contact care@vioris.in.

Cookies and service providers

Viora uses essential session technology to keep users signed in and operate account features. Depending on the configuration and integrations in use, infrastructure and communications providers may process information on Viora's behalf. Their own terms and privacy notices also apply to their services.

Children and family information

Viora is intended for adults arranging support for older family members. Only provide another person's information when you are authorised to do so, and share only details relevant to arranging safe and appropriate assistance.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version will be published on this page. For privacy questions or requests, email care@vioris.in.
